TABLATURE AS A SOURCE OF RESEARCH OF THE PRE-STANDARD SLOVAK LANGUAGE

The author deals with manuscript records of the musical compositions - tablatures. The tablature, which have been preserved since the 16th century as a musical and text notation of various authors from the different denominational and cultural surroundings are valuable source of the research of a public form and appropriate stylistic differentiation of the Slovak language in its pre-standard period. Also the 'Vietoris' tablature from the years 1660 - 1670 belongs to this kind of documents. Records of the secular compositions, in their name, theme, contents and function, gain a significant nation-identification character.
