Methodology of the selection of crushing machines and evaluation of their operation in installations for the production of mineral aggregates

Crushing is one of the most energy-consuming technological processes in the processing industry. Its purpose is to bring mineral resources to the appropriate grain size. This process is complex and depends on many factors, including the physical and mechanical properties of the material to be crushed, including: the size and form of the crushed grains, the type of crusher, their mutual arrangement in the crushing chamber of the machine, the trajectory and speed of grain movement, technological parameters of crushers (exhaust port, grate mesh size, stroke and shape of the working elements, linear speed of the working elements). The paper present the issue of appropriate selection of machines and their construction and operating parameters.
