W technologiach ceramicznych uziarnienie substratów – surowców i półproduktów – ma istotne znaczenie dla jakości wytwarzanych tworzyw. Zwłaszcza pomiar wielkości ziaren poniżej 100 μm nabiera szczególnego znaczenia. W przypadku pigmentów ceramicznych od uziarnienia zależą ich parametry barwy, a w konsekwencji walory estetyczne i cechy użytkowe dekorowanych wyrobów.
In the ceramic substrate technology the particle size of raw materials and semi-finished products is essential for the quality of the produced materials. Especially the measurement of particle size less than 100 microns is of particular importance. In the case of ceramic pigments, the color parameters and, consequently, aesthetic and functional characteristics of decorated products depend on their grain size.
