Evaluation of selected parameters of luminaires with LEDs

The main objectives of this paper were to compare different lighting systems. The results of the calculations showed a significant potential for saving energy by the use of LEDs luminaires for indoor and outdoor lighting. The good quality LED Tube lamps have the luminous efficiency higher when comparing with the good quality fluorescent lamps luminaries. In road lighting the adaptation of human eyes in many cases corresponds to mesopic vision. For such conditions using LEDs is more useful from the point of spectral distribution of light.
