Assessment of thermal conditions in urban interiors on the example of the Cracow University of Technology campus

This paper presents the results of an assessment of thermal conditions on the main campus of the Krakow University of Technology. Measurements of temperature were made in the period 21.03.2023 - 31.03.2024 using mobile measurement sensors located in a urban interior, enclosed on all sides by university buildings with a different number of floors and different purposes. The surroundings of the facilities, vary due to the degree of greening and exposure of the area to solar radiation. The measurements made it possible to determine the influence of the existing conditions, including the distance between the buildings, the type of surface (paved/grassy), and the proximity of high greenery on the temperature values. In addition to their scientific value, the conclusions formulated have a practical dimension. They can be used in design work for shaping urban areas with a favourable microclimate.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki oceny warunków termicznych na terenie głównego kampusu Politechniki Krakowskiej. Pomiary temperatury wykonano w okresie 21.03.2023 - 31.03.2024 przy użyciu mobilnych czujników pomiarowych zlokalizowanych we wnętrzu urbanistycznym, domkniętym ze wszystkich stron obiektami uczelni o różnej liczbie kondygnacji i różnym przeznaczeniu. Otoczenie obiektów jest zróżnicowane ze względu na stopień zazielenienia i ekspozycji obszaru na promieniowanie słoneczne. Pomiary pozwoliły na określenie wpływu warunków zastanych, w tym m.in.: odległości między budynkami, rodzaju nawierzchni (utwardzona/trawiasta), bliskości zieleni wysokiej na wartość temperatury. Sformułowane wnioski, poza wartością naukową, mają wymiar praktyczny, mogą bowiem być wykorzystane w pracy projektowej dotyczącej kształtowania obszarów miejskich o sprzyjającym mikroklimacie.
