Celem artykułu jest analiza przewozu towarów transportem kolejowym w Polsce z w okresie 2010 – 2016. Przedstawiono sytuację na rynku kolejowym, uwzględniając krajowe i międzynarodowe uwarunkowania prawne, infrastrukturę kolejową oraz przewoźników odpowiadających za organizację transportów. Zaprezentowano ogólną charakterystykę krajowego rynku transportu ładunków, uwzględniając statystyki publikowane przez Główny Urząd Statystyczny oraz dane pochodzące ze stron Urzędu Transportu Kolejowego.

The aim of the article is to analyze the carriages cargo using railway transport in Poland in 2010 – 2016. The paper presents basic information about rail transport such as national and international rules of law, rail’s infrastructure and main companies responsible for the organization of transport. The article presents the general characterization of the national transport market of goods. Paper discussed the impact of railway transport on the national economy. An author used the statistics published by the Central Statistical Office (GUS). The Article is finished by a brief summary of content described in it.
