Potencjał węglowodorowy Arktyki

W artykule omówiono aktualny status prawny Arktyki, zasobność podmorskich złóż ropy naftowej i gazu ziemnego Oceanu Arktycznego oraz potencjał węglowodorowy kontynentalnego szelfu arktycznego Rosji. Wskazano na problemy związane z wydobyciem i eksploatacją wyżej wymienionych złóż, w których najważniejszą rolę odgrywają czynniki klimatyczne oraz towarzyszące im zjawiska przyrodnicze. Przewiduje się, że Arktyka odegra znaczącą rolę w najbliższych 20–30 latach w kształtowaniu polityki energetycznej świata.

The article discusses the current legal status of the Arctic, resources of the offshore deposits of oil and natural gas of the Arctic Sea and hydrocarbon potential of the Arctic continental shelf of Russia. Problems were indicated related to extraction and exploitation of said deposits, in which the most important aspect is the climatic factor and the accompanying natural phenomena. The Arctic is bound to play a significant role in the coming 20–30 years in the development of worldwide energy policy.
