Personal protective equipment (PPE) provide workers with direct protection against threats present in the working environment. However, PPE has a certain .lifetime. related to the loss of protective parameters, which depend on, e.g., the degree of their exposure to factors in the working environment. As this is an important and complex issue, it is reasonable to seek innovative solutions on how to monitor the time of safe use of PPE. One proposal is to use radio frequency identification (RFID). This article presents the concept of a system for identifying and monitoring time use of PPE with socalled RFID tags.
