Barwa w architekturze współczesnej - między globalizacją a identyfikacją miejsca

W artykule przedstawiono przykłady metod projektowych dotyczących zastosowania barwy we współczesnej architekturze. Projektanci mają obecnie do dyspozycji nie tylko szeroką paletę farb nowej generacji, ale także bogaty wybór nowych, różnobarwnych materiałów budowlanych. Wybór koloru, jego odcienia i intensywności w wielu wypadkach odpowiada dość często zmieniającym się ogólnoświatowym trendom. Z drugiej strony można obserwować innego typu podejście, gdzie ideą przewodnią jest uwzględnienie specyfiki miejsca i jego genius loci. Metodologie te uwzględniają koloryt naturalny otoczenia, uwarunkowania historyczne, geologiczne, a także upodobania i preferencje mieszkańców.

The article presents examples of design methods concerning the application and use of colour in contemporary architecture. Nowadays, designers can choose not only from the great range of new generation paints palettes but also from the various ranges of new colourful construction materials. The choice of architectural colour, its hue, value and chroma, often reflects the changes in various global trends. On the other hand, we can also observe another approach, where the most important matter to be taken into consideration is the place characteristic (genius loci). Those kinds of design methods focus on the natural colours of the surroundings, historical and geographical influences, as well as preferences of the public.
