Wybrane aspekty obróbki wiórowej stali i żeliw trudnoobrabialnych

Krótko scharakteryzowano stale stopowe i narzędziowe ulepszone cieplnie, stale nierdzewne o strukturze austenitycznej oraz żeliwa zabielone i sferoidalne hartowane izotermicznie, jako materiały trudne do obróbki wiórowej. Omówiono podstawowe zasady dotyczące obróbki wiórowej tych materiałów. Przedstawiono przykłady stosowanych parametrów skrawania i wybranych rezultatów prowadzonych badań.

Difficult-to-machine materials are briefly characterized. They include alloy and hardened tool steels, austenitic stainless steels, white and austempered ductile cast irons. The fundamental principles of machining these materials are discussed. Examples of applied machining parameters and some results of research works carried out in the world are presented.
