Zrównoważony rozwój transportu i jego wpływ na funkcjonowanie systemów komunikacji miejskiej

W artykule wskazano na możliwe kierunki rozwoju zrównoważonych rozwiązań w transporcie miejskim. W przypadku odpowiedniej identyfikacji tych kierunków i ich wdrożenia mogą się one przyczynić do poprawy jakości życia w mieście poprzez ograniczenie szkodliwego wpływu transportu na zdrowie ludzi i środowisko naturalne. Poruszone zostały kwestie implementacji stref ruchu dla pieszych, zwiększenia udziału ruchu rowerowego, wprowadzenia opłaty kongestyjnej, inteligentnych systemów zarządzania ruchem drogowym oraz odpowiedniej polityki odnośnie do parkowania na terenach aglomeracji miejskich.

The article shows possible directions for the development of sustainable solutions for urban transport. In case of proper identification and implementation they can substantially contribute to improving the quality of life in the city by reducing harmful effect of transport on human health and the environment. The issues of implementation for pedestrian zones, increasing the share of cycling, the introduction of congestion charge, intelligent traffic management systems and politics in relations to parking in urban areas were discussed.
