Powłoka quasi-walcowa o zmiennej grubości według pewnej funkcji kwadratowej

The paper presents analytical and numerical solutions for an elastic cylindrical or quasi-cylindrical shell with variable thickness expressed by a parabola of the second degree but weakly differing from a straigth line. The solutions use simplified bending theory of thin-walled shell for axisymmetric loading. Applied models make possible to obtain solutions for such problems as determination of contact pressure, optimisation or stability. An example concerning optimisation of a tube with changeable thickness parameters was presented at the end of the paper.
