Krystalograficzne bazy danych

Przedstawiono podstawowe informacje na temat najważniejszych literaturowych oraz krystalograficznych baz danych. Po wstępie dotyczącym pisanych źródeł informacji strukturalnej omówiono literaturową bazę Instytutu Informacji Naukowej z Filadelfii (USA). Następnie scharakteryzowano m.in. bazę struktur związków organicznych (CSD), bazę struktur związków nieorganicznych (ICSD) oraz bazę danych proszkowych. Podano też podstawowe informacje na temat kilku innych baz danych użytecznych dla krystalografów. We wnioskach przedstawiono liczne uwagi na temat ważności i kompletności wymienionych baz danych oraz podkreślono wagę nauczania statystyki i rozwoju sieci komputerowej w Polsce.

The most important information regarding some literature and crystallographic databases is described in this paper. First, some written sources of structural information are mentioned. Then, details of the literature database of Institute of Scientific Information from Philadelphia (USA) are presented. Next, the Cambridge Structural Database (SCD) containing all organic structures, the Protein Data File (PDF), the Inorganic Crystallographic Structural Database (ICSD) and a number of other databases useful for crystallographers are discussed. In conclusion the databases are ranked according to their importance and the need of further development of computer network in Poland and teaching of statistics is stressed.
