Implementation of environmental management system based on the cleaner production strategy in polish companies

Cleaner Production being an element of the sustainable development strategy identifies necessary activities to achieve the goals of eco-development on a company level. Its characteristic feature is eco-productivity understood as raw material and energy savings and reduction of pollutant emission per product unit. In this paper the elements of non-formalised environmental management system based on the Cleaner Production strategy are presented. The implementation of that system in Polish companies is also discussed.
