Logistyczna obsługa klienta jest różnie definiowana. W każdym jednak przypadku nadaje ona sens wszystkim działaniom logistycznym. Dlatego należy analizować nie tylko wyniki takiej obsługi, ale także inne działania logistyczne wywierające swój wpływ na logistyczną obsługę klienta. Do takich obszarów należy transport, który oddziałuje na znaczną część elementów logistycznej obsługi klienta. Oddziaływanie to może mieć charakter bezpośredni lub pośredni. Ogniwami pośredniego oddziaływania mogą być albo inne funkcje logistyczne, albo też jakościowe cechy samego transportu.

There are various definitions of the logistic services. However, in each particular case it is considered to be the foundation of all logistic activities. Therefore, not only the outcome of such services should be analyzed, but also other fields of activities influencing the aforementioned services rendered to our clients. One of those fields is transportation, which influences a significant part of the elements which the logistic services comprise. This influence can be of direct or indirect nature. It is possible for the indirect one to be built of links either including other logistic functions or some quality features of the transportation itself.
