Działalność innowacyjna sektora usług finansowych w Polsce na tle innych krajów Unii Europejskiej

Financial intermediation is one of the most innovative sphere of activity in Poland and other countries as well. This article focus on some comparisons made according to the latest GUS and Eurostat statistics and referring to scope of innovation activity, it's results and main barriers in Poland and other UE countries. Innovation activity provided by financial institutions in Poland is insufficiently intensive. The proportion of enterprises with innovation activity and theirs achievements are still lower than average in EU. More efforts of financial institutions regarding product and process innovations is necessary as well as Government, which can create friendly atmosphere for changes and eliminate existing barriers. This is the only way to make strong, competitive and innovative financial sector in Poland.
