Nieodłącznym elementem wspomagającym proces przepływu towarów w łańcuchu dostaw jest transport, który bezpośrednio wpływa na sprawność realizowanych procesów logistycznych. Niezbędne, zatem staje się określenie związków transportu z otoczeniem wyrażających się w wielkości zapotrzebowań na usługi przewozowe zgłaszane przez otoczenie oraz sposobu ich realizacji przez system transportowy. Zasoby definiowane, jako czynniki wytwórcze posiadane lub kontrolowane przez firmę, również firmę transportową, determinują realizację zadań przewozowych i wpływają na racjonalizację systemu przewozowego. W artykule przedstawiono wybrane aspekty racjonalizacji systemów przewozowych w łańcuchu dostaw przy ograniczonych zasobach, jakimi w rzeczywistości dysponuje firma transportowa. Uwzględniając wielkość zadań przewozowych oraz zasoby, jakimi dysponuje firma zaproponowano metodologię formułowania zadania optymalizacyjnego w aspekcie organizacji systemu przewozowego. Ponadto w artykule przedstawiono również studium przypadku dotyczące racjonalizacji systemu przewozowego przy ograniczonych zasobach, jakim dysponuje firma.

Transport is the inherent element supporting goods flow process in supply chain and directly affecting the efficiency of logistics process. Therefore it becomes necessary, to prescribe connections between transport and its surroundings defined as the size of a transport services demand reported by the surroundings and the method of its realization by the transportation system. Resources defined as a set of production factors owned or controlled by the company, also the transportation company determines the realization of the transportation tasks and affects the rationalization of the transportation system. The article presents selected aspects of the rationalization of the transportation systems in the supply chain with limited resources, which are in fact at the transport company disposal. Including the size of the transportation task and the company available resources, the methodology of the optimization tasks formulation in terms of transportation system organization was proposed. In addition, the article presents a case study on the rationalization of the transportation system with limited resources, which are at company disposal.
