Some problems in selecting rational approach to ship design theory. Part 2: cost of functional usefulness of designed ships

The paper deals with analysis of the state-of-the-art apparatus for selecting appropriate approaches in ship designing. It is shown in the first part that the most successful theory developed for multi-criterion optimization problems has a number of disadvantages. The proposed approach, based on the analysis of designed ship functioning, allows one first to construct ships and then to analyze the dependence of its usefulness on specific parameters. The problem of price for usefulness are considered in the second part. It is shown that the usefulness of a system is in general non-linear function of parameters of price for usefulness. Some practical approaches and techniques for selecting preferable designs in the conditions of both finite and infinite initial information are also introduced.

W artykule poruszono problemy przyjęcia rozwiązań z uwzględnieniem integralnego kryterium "cena za użyteczność". Pokazano, że przy poszukiwaniu efektywnych rozwiązań według tego kryterium uważa się za celowe wykorzystać zasadę "minimalne środki na wytworzenie", lub zasadę "projektu idealnego". Osobne miejsce w artykule poświęcono zagadnieniu znalezienia efektywnych rozwiązań w warunkach nie pełnych informacji wyjściowych.
