Wielkość naprężeń własnych w szynach kolejowych jest istotna dla bezpiecznego transportu ludzi i towarów w istniejącym systemie infrastruktury. W artykule przedstawiono metodologię pomiaru naprężeń własnych, źródła naprężeń własnych oraz proces prostowania szyn kolejowych. Opisano wpływ różnych technik prostowania szyn w prostownicy poziomej na wielkość naprężeń własnych.
The amount of residual stresses in the railway rails is relevant to safe transport of people and goods in existing infrastructure system. The methodology of residual stresses measurement, sources of residual stresses and straightening process of railway rails have been presented in the article. The influence of different straightening techniques of rails in horizontal straightener on the whole amount of residual stresses has been also described.
