Źródła realistycznej i idealistycznej tradycji refleksji o bezpieczeństwie narodowym
Autor rozważa źródła religijne, mitologiczno-filozoficzne i filozoficzne refleksji o bezpieczeństwie narodowym. Uznaje je za fundamenty cywilizacji Zachodu wytyczające jej rozwój. Te rozważania i analizy służą precyzowaniu zakresu znaczeniowego bezpieczeństwa narodowego, które jest bardziej idealistyczne i skłonne do utożsamiania bezpieczeństwa z pokojem albo bardziej realistyczne i skłonne do utożsamiania bezpieczeństwa z jakimś złożeniem wojny i pokoju. Tradycje tych znaczeń kojarzy z fazami rozwoju wiedzy wskazanymi przez Augusta Comte’a. W tym kontekście sugeruje, że znaczenie realistyczne bezpieczeństwa narodowego jest bardziej naukowe niż idealistyczne. Opowiada się więc przeciwko idealistycznemu utożsamianiu bezpieczeństwa z pokojem.
In this article author presents and discusses the religious, mytho-philosophical and philosophical reflections that are considered as the basis for the national security. He is proving that said reflections play fundamental role in the evolvement of Western Civilization and its taken course. According to author, given discourse and analysis are the tools for precise definition and meaning of national security. It is argued that there are at least two approaches to this subject. One is idealistic in connecting the security issue with the essence of peace, the other as being more realistic, where security is understood as a potentiality of war and peace. Traditional roots of those concepts can be found in the phases of knowledge evolution as presented by August Comte. In this context author is suggesting that realistic conception of security are more scientific than those of idealistic provenience. Therefore author argues against idealistic proclamation that security grows out of peace.
