The article discusses the issues related to investment in bonds and methods of securing their emission. The author propounds a thesis that, choice of securing method of bonds emission impacts directly the level of investment risk and consequently the rating of the emission. At the outset, in legal aspect of the issue, there are presented problems concerning securing emission of bonds in general and in addition to that, economic aspects of securing emission, such as various types of risks associated with bonds emission and its rating. Furthermore, the author discusses various methods of securing bonds in particular, alongside with suggesting his individual opinion for practical usage of each of the forms of securing bonds and an impact of each of them towards investment risk. Ultimately legal specificity of junk bonds and macroeconomic factors irrespective from issuers will, which influences investment risk are presented.
