Biblioteka, Książka, Informacja i Internet 2014

W dniach 16–17 października 2014 r. w Instytucie Informacji Naukoweji Bibliotekoznawstwa Uniwersytetu Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej odbyła sięogólnopolska konferencja naukowa Biblioteka, Książka, Informacja i Internet 2014,której głównym organizatorem był Zakład Informatologii. Była to już czwarta konferencja z cyklu Biblioteka, Książka, Informacja i Internet…. Konferencje organizowane są od 2008 r., co dwa lata. W obradach wzięło udział około 50 przedstawicieli ośrodków naukowych i bibliotek z całej Polski, którzy wygłosili 20 referatów o bardzo zróżnicowanej tematyce. Ich uzupełnieniem była prezentacja firmy FunMedia z Wrocławia, która zaprezentowała pakiety do darmowej nauki języka angielskiego dla bibliotek.

On 16th–17th October 2014 next edition of The International Scientific Conference ”Library, Book, Information and Internet 2014” was held in Lublin. The conference was organized by Instytut of Librarianship and Information Science at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. The aim of the conference was to discuss changes in library and information science. Twenty- speakers presented papers on various subjects. Main issues were: information and knowledge management, ICT and its role in society, legal and ethical issues in library practice, new roles of librarians, library specialists training, quantitive methods in information science (webometrics, infometrics, bibliometrics), infobroking, digitizing, science 2.0, digital libraries, repositories and electronic publishing. This report summarized the meeting briefly outlines papers presented at the conference.
