The photo depicts a multi-generational family. In the middle there is an elderly woman in dark clothes and a headscarf sitting in a chair. Standing behind her are a woman and a middle-aged man (the woman is wearing round glasses, a dark jacket and a white blouse with a collar; the man is wearing a suit). In front of them there are five children: two boys and three girls. The youngest child is sitting on grandmother’s lap. The photo was taken in a photographic studio

The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Fotografia przedstawia rodzinę wielopokoleniową. Pośrodku siedzi na krześle starsza kobieta w ciemnym ubiorze i chustce na głowie, za nią stoi kobieta i mężczyzna w średnim wieku (kobieta w okrągłych okularach, ciemnym żakiecie i białej bluzce z kołnierzem, mężczyzna w garniturze).
