Sanctuary of Obłazowa Cave.

The dissertation contains detailed description of an archeological excavation in Obłazowa 1, particularly the layer VIII in the Cave in Obłazowa in Nowa Biała near Nowy Targ.Unusual deposit of this layer such as: boomerang from the blow of the woolly mammoth, oldest human bones, 2 phalanges found so far in Poland-, drilled snail shells conus and paleolithic tools, indicates the uniqueness of this place. It was most probably a paleolithic sanctuary. The thesis also contains the stratigraphy of the Cave. In the third part there are deliberations connected with the paleolithic sanctuary in Obłazowa Cave and its significance. I will also refer to others cave stations and to unquestionably arising after discovering phalanges in our cave of imprints of the hands in the Gargas cave or in Lascaux. The disstertation also contains deliberations of the religion in the Palaeolithic period.

Niezwykły depozyt warstwy jak: bumerang z ciosu mamuta, najstarsze ludzkie kości odnalezione do tej pory w Polsce- 2 paliczki, przewiercone muszle ślimaka conus oraz narzędzia paleolityczne, wskazuje na wyjątkowość tego miejsca. Najprawdopodobniej było to paleolityczne sanktuarium. Praca zawiera również stratygrafię Jaskini. Znajdują się w niej rozważania nad paleolitycznym sanktuarium w Obłazowej oraz nad jego znaczeniem.Odniosę się też do innych stanowisk jaskiniowych oraz odcisków dłoni na ścianach Europejskich jaskiń jak Gargas. Cosquer czy Lascaux. Praca zawiera również rozważania na temat religii w paleolicie.
