This thesis breaks down and analyzes the concept of strategic culture by taking an individual and in depth look at both the concepts of strategy and culture. It is demonstrated as to how understanding the nature of each brings clarity to the definitional and methodological issues facing strategic culture today. Germany is used as both a case study in strategic culture in order to add to the context of German strategic culture and to demonstrate the type of methodological principles argued in the first half of the thesis.
