Psychopomp in religious of pre-christian Europe

Praca opisuje postać psychopomposa występująca w wybranych religiach Europy przedchrześcijańskiej. Wymienia tezy dotyczące genezy postaci i opisuje jej ewolucję od społeczności zbieraczo-łowieckich do religii przedchrześcijańskich. W pracy zaprezentowane są także wybrane postaci psychopomposa występujące na terenie Europy, np. grecki Hermes, czy nordyckie Walkirie. Poruszone są także takie zagadnienia jak obrzędy przejścia, bricolage i synkretyzm religijny.

The aim of this thesis is presentation of psychopomp in selected religious of pre-christian Europe. Thesis are presenting evolution of psychopomp from the hunting and gathering community to pre-Christian religion. Thesis are telling also about gods, goddesses and demons who were the guide of souls in European religious, for example Hermes from ancient Greece, the Norse Valkyries or the Celtic Epona, describing European syncretism, religious bricolage and rites of passage.
