Praca ta zawiera terminologię weselną w gwarze podhalańskiej. Opisuje obrzęd wesela i rytuały z nim związane. Praca powstała na podstawie badań terenowych, prowadzonych w Ponicach, Harklowej, Witowie i Załucznym. Wskazuje na różnice i podobieństwa dotyczące terminologii weselnej w mowie mieszkańców tych miejscowości. Praca podzielona jest na dwie części, które poprzedzone są wstępem.
