Relationship between creativity and sense and quality of life.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest zbadanie związków między twórczością, a poczuciem sensu i jakości życia. Analizowanymi zmiennymi były: poczucie sensu i jakości życia, poczucie sensu życia oraz postawa twórcza i jej determinanty, charakterologiczne i intelektualne. W badaniu wzięło udział 79 licealistów z Kielc. Średni wiek badanych wynosił 17 lat. W pracy wykorzystano 4 metody (KAHN, SWLS, PLT i Drabina szczęścia Cantrilla).Po przeprowadzeniu analiz statystycznych zweryfikowano dwie z pięciu postawionych hipotez. Postawa twórcza nie ma związku z płcią badanych. Jest natomiast związana z wiekiem, im starsi byli badani, tym mniej twórczy. Częściowo potwierdzono jedną z postawionych hipotez dotyczących związku cech charakterologicznych i intelektualnych z poczuciem sensu i jakości życia. Owe cechy związane z twórczą postawą – konformizm i zachowania arytmetyczne są związane z poczuciem jakości życia, jakkolwiek nie jest to związek istotny statystycznie.Badani charakteryzujący się myśleniem arytmetycznym osiągają niższą satysfakcję z życia. Badani o wysokim poczuciu sensu życia unikają zachowań nonkonformistycznych. Stwierdzono także istnienie związku pomiędzy podejmowaniem zachowań arytmetycznych a lękiem przed śmiercią. Im wyższy poziom zachowań arytmetycznych, tym większy lęk przed śmiercią.

The aim of this study was to examine the relationships between creativity and sense of life feeling and the quality of life. Study analysed variables: sense of life feeling, quality of life feeling, creative attitude and its characterological and intellectual determinants. The study included 79 students from Kielce. The average age of participants was 17 years old. In the study four methods were used: KAHN, PLT, Cantril’s Ladder and SWLS.Statistical analysis verified two out of five hypotheses. Creative attitude is not asossiated with sex. It is, however, associated with age. The younger the students were, the less creative. One of the hypotheses concerning the thecharacterological and intellectual determinants of the creative attitude was partly verified. Some determinants of the creative attitude –conformism and algorithmic behavior – were associated with sense and quality of life, however, the relationship was not statistically relevant.Students characterized with algorithmic way of thinking have lesser life satisfaction. Students with high sense of life feeling tend to avoid nonconformist behaviour. There was also found a relationship between the algorithmic behavior and the fear of death. The more students preffered algorithmic behavior, the bigger was the fear of death.
