MOŻLIWOŚCI WYKORZYSTANIA ANALIZY FINANSOWEJ W PRZEDSIĘBIORSTWIE Z SEKTORA MSP NA PRZYKŁADZIE FIRMY „MAY-MAT.

Small and medium-sized enterprises constitute a driving force of economies and are the main source of economic activity in many countries. Due to their impact on the whole economy and their considerable share in the total number of enterprises, they emerge as an area of interest for many researchers. Most notably, monitoring financial situation of such enterprises along with support and aid provided by public institutions appear to be the aspects of great significance.The thesis presents the general characteristics and functioning of the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises within the space of the last few years. It also focuses on simplified measures utilised by small and medium-sized enterprises in the context of recording and reporting economic activity. Moreover, financial analysis and the prospects of its implementation by the “May-Mat” business have been provided. The initial analysis of the balance sheet and the profit and loss account as well as the ratio analysis have allowed to assess the functioning of this business in the years 2010-2012 and can stand as an important source of information for the firm in the future.

Małe i średnie przedsiębiorstwa są siłą napędową gospodarek i głównym źródłem aktywności ekonomicznej wielu państw. Ze względu na ich ekonomiczne znaczenie dla całej gospodarki oraz przeważający udział w ogólnej liczbie przedsiębiorstw stanowią obszar zainteresowań wielu badaczy. Istotne staje się monitorowanie ich sytuacji finansowej, a także wspieranie podejmowanych przez nich działań przez instytucje publiczne. Niniejsza praca przedstawia sektor MSP w Polsce, jego ogólną charakterystykę oraz funkcjonowanie na przestrzeni ostatnich kilku lat. Wskazuje również na uproszczenia, które stosują małe i średnie podmioty w zakresie ewidencji zdarzeń gospodarczych oraz sprawozdawczości. Ponadto, zostało poruszone zagadnienie analizy finansowej oraz możliwości jej wykorzystania przez przedsiębiorstwo „May-Mat”. Wstępna analiza bilansu oraz rachunku zysków i strat, a także analiza wskaźnikowa, umożliwiły dokonanie oceny funkcjonowania tej firmy na przestrzeni lat 2010-2012 i mogą stanowić ważne źródło informacji dla przyszłych działań przedsiębiorstwa.
