The Idea confronts ”the unexpected”. Certain elements of Osip Mandelstam’s artistic conception (in selected poems and prose)

This dissertation is an attempt to distinct and examine some elements of the ideological layer of the artistic conception of a Russian poet – Osip Mandelstam, assuming that due to specific historical circumstances and their impact on the fate of the author, they could have undergone a transformation. The research has been based on the analysis of some poems and prose of Mandelstam.The first chapter serves as an outline of the philosophy of Mandelstam’s creative act in the form it took at the beginning of his creative activity and before he started to notice the fallouts of the Revolution. The fact that poet’s early artistic views have formed largely under the influence of Acmeism has also been taken into account.The second chapter is about ideas typical for Mandelstam’s artistic views at the end of 1910s and 1920s. The form of these views was influenced by current political situation in the country and the position of the poet during those times.In chapter three, new features of poetry have been showed, as well as new features of the artistic conception of Manselstam, which resulted from reassessment of his original postulates.

Niniejsza rozprawa magisterska stanowi próbę wyodrębnienia i przeanalizowania niektórych elementów ideologicznej warstwy koncepcji artystycznej rosyjskiego poety – Osipa Mandelsztama, przy założeniu, że za sprawą szczególnych okoliczności historycznych i ich wpływu na losy autora, mogły one ulec transformacji. Badania przeprowadzone zostały na podstawie analizy wybranych liryków i tekstów prozatorskich Mandelsztama.Pierwszy rozdział pełni funkcję zarysu filozofii aktu twórczego Mandelsztama w formie jaką przybrała ona na początku działalności twórczej poety oraz nim zaczął on dostrzegać następstwa dokonanego w ojczyźnie przewrotu. Uwzględniony został również fakt, iż wczesne poglądy artystyczne poety ukształtowały się w dużej mierze pod wpływem akmeizmu. Rozdział drugi poświęcony został ideom właściwym światopoglądowi artystycznemu Mandelsztama pod koniec lat 10. oraz w latach 20. Pomimo, iż poglądy te charakteryzuje swoista niejednolitość, ich wspólną cechą jest to, że wszystkie można uznać za formułowane w pewnej zależności od zapatrywań poety na sytuację polityczną w kraju oraz wpływu tejże sytuacji na losy samego poety. W rozdziale trzecim wskazane zostały pewne nowe cechy poezji i koncepcji artystycznej Mandelsztama wynikające z przewartościowania postulatów zdefiniowanych na pierwszym etapie drogi twórczej.
