PPS i PPC w prasie hiszpańskiej i argentyńskiej.

Europejska i argentyńska odmiana języka hiszpańskiego różnią się od siebie znacznie pod względem użycia czasów PPS i PPC. Podczas gdy w Hiszpanii spotykane są obie formy, w Argentynie zakres użycia czasu PPC jest znacznie węższy, a ponadto częstotliwość jego występowania wykazuje tendencję spadkową. Również jego znaczenie, choć podobne, nie jest identyczne z jego odpowiednikiem europejskim. W niniejszej pracy weryfikujemy teorie opisujące użycie obu czasów przeszłych w dwóch odmianach języka hiszpańskiego, posługując się przy tym korpusem sporządzonym z wiadomości prasowych opublikowanych przez media hiszpańskie i argentyńskie.

Regarding the use of simple and compound past tenses, the European and Argentinian varieties of modern Spanish differ greatly. While the European variant uses both past tenses, the Argentinian strongly prefers the simple form, and the area of use of the compound past is highly restricted and progressively shrinking. The semantic contents of the Argentinian compound past and its European counterpart are similar, but not totally equivalent. In this study we present some theoretical paradigms that describe the uses of both tenses in two varieties of Spanish, and then test their validity against a written corpus of Spanish and Argentinian news.

La oposición entre el PPS y el PPC se manifiesta de formas diferentes en distintas variedades del castellano moderno. Mientras que en el español peninsular se emplean los dos tiempos, en el español rioplatense el PPC parece caer en desuso. Aunque entre los contenidos semánticos expresados por el PPC en ambos variantes del idioma puede observarse un alto grado de correspondencia, los matices de su significado y los contextos de su uso ciertamente no son iguales. En el presente trabajo, los respectivos paradigmas teóricos que describen los usos del PPS y PPC tanto en la variedad española como en la argentina se verifican a través de un análisis de un corpus compuesto de noticias de prensa.
