System transformation in Lithuania after 1990

Celem pracy magisterskiej jest analiza procesu transformacji ustrojowej na Litwie po 1990 roku. Niniejsza praca magisterska jest podzielona na trzy części. W pierwszej części jest analizowany proces transformacji ustrojowej na Litwie po 1990 roku, a więc czynniki sprzyjające transformacji, przyczyny wystąpienia transformacji, przebieg transformacji, jak również znaczenie instytucji międzynarodowych dla procesu transformacji. Druga część pracy poświęcona jest transformacji gospodarczej na Litwie po 1990 roku. W trzecim rozdziale zaprezentowano drogę Litwy do Unii Europejskiej. W rozdziale tym pokazano przyczyny integracji z Unią Europejską, reformy ekonomiczne, wpływ funduszy strukturalnych Unii Europejskiej na sytuację gospodarczą kraju, jak również przedstawiono planowane przystąpienie do strefy euro w świetle kryteriów konwergencji.

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the process of transition in Lithuania since 1990. This thesis is divided into three parts. The first part analyzes process of transformation in Lithuania after 1990: the factors conducive to the transformation, the cause of the transformation, the transformation process, and the importance of international institutions for the transition process. The second part focuses on the economic transition in Lithuania since 1990. The third chapter presents the way of Lithuania to the European Union. This chapter shows the cause of European integration, economic reform, the impact of EU structural funds to the economic situation of the country.
