Wędrówka motywu arlekina. Rozumny arlekin w ujęciu Łesia Kurbasia i jego recepcja w teatrze ukraińskim

The following thesis focuses on the subject of a jester - its motif and journey and the appearance of a jester-arlequin in theathre, painting and cinema. Jester is an incredibly opulent motif, rich with symbols and substance, it’s a constant element of culture. It’s also a well-known part of courts and rokoko ‘high celebrations’. The Ukrainian director Les Kurbas chose the motif of jester-arlequin to build a new type of a theatre actor - educated, with a beautiful, agile body, well acquainted with literature, philosophy and other fields of culture and science. Judicious arlequin is a brand new actor, who transforms its character on stage, a well-read scholar, sensitive and special. This work presents the functioning the motif of a judicious arlequin in plays of the Ukrainian author, an attempt has been made to explore the reception of this motif in the contemporary Ukrainian theatre. The most typical spectacle and conceptions have been analyzed. In the context of the main subject of this work, a lot of importance will be put on the reform of a theatre and its representatives - each one of whom brought a breathe of fresh air and his individual conceptions to revive the stage. Les Kurbas has revived and revolutionised Ukrainan theatre and the echoes of his concepts remain alive and inspiring until this very day. So does the judicious arlequin.

Tematyka pracy związana jest z wędrówką motywu błazna w szeroko pojętej kulturze. Motyw ten, funkcjonuje zarówno w literaturze, malarstwie, kinie współczesnym oraz teatrze. Został on wykorzystany przez ukraińskiego reżysera Łesia Kurbasa w dwóch teatrach - Młodym Teatrze oraz Teatrze Berezil, których Kurbas był założycielem. Reżyser chciał stworzyć nowy typ aktora, który posiada cechy rozumnego arlekina. Aktor powinien być wykształcony, oczytany, a jego ciało piękne, gibkie i zdolne do ruchu. Reżyser stworzył błazna, który jest ponad tym, co tworzy, potrafi widzieć więcej od innych. Poruszono również wątki związane z wielką reformą teatru, która przyniosła wiele zmian, a każdy z jej przedstawicieli pozostawił w spadku wiele ciekawych koncepcji oraz idei związanych z funkcjonowaniem sztuk teatralnych. Omówiono poszczególne, najbardziej charakterystyczne Kurbasowi spektakle jak i jego koncepcje i inspiracje. Ostatecznie zbadano jaka jest współczesna recepcja motywu rozumnego arlekina w teatrze ukraińskim.
