L'objectif du mémoire de licence est d'analyser le narrateur du Grand Meaulnes d'Alain-Fournier. La catégorie essentielle employée dans cette analyse est celle du narrateur homodiégétique, empruntée à Gérard Genette. Le narrateur est analysé : en tant que personnage qui reste à l'ombre du héros éponyme mais qui crée celui-ci par sa propre activité narrative ; en tant que personnage qui expérimente le même désenchantement que le protagoniste ; en tant que créateur d'un mythe. Le narrateur homodiégétique s'avère un élément crucial pour la tonalité générale de l'œuvre.

The aim of the thesis is the analyse of Le Grand Meaulnes by Alain-Fournier. The essential category used in the analyse (borrowed from Gérard Genette) is the homodiegetic narrator. He is analysed: as a character who rests in the shadow of the eponym hero but also creates him by his narration; as a character who experiences the same disappointment that the protagonist does; as a creator of a mythe. The homodiegetic narrator turns out to be a crucial element for the general tonality of the novel.
