This work covers selected issues concerning fear, school refusal and the responsibilities of a guidance counsellor. It includes the explanations of the key topics that are fear and school refusal. Described are the reasons school refusal can be acquired as well as the known types. The importance of the presence of a counsellor as a person essential for helping children is also explained. Also included and interpreted are the results of a study on school refusal conducted by Sylwia Czuchaj.

Poniższa praca obejmuje wybrane zagadnienia dotyczące lęku i fobii szkolnej oraz zadania pedagoga szkolnego. Zawiera w sobie objaśnienie kluczowych definicji jakimi są lęk i fobia szkolna. Ukazane zostały przyczyny powstawania fobii oraz ich rodzaje. Zaprezentowano również rolę pedagoga szkolnego jako postaci kluczowej w formie pomocy dziecku.
