Model of care for patients with nephrotic syndrome based on the theory Dorothy Orem

Nephrotic syndrome is a kidney disease characterized by the presence of typical clinical symptoms. It includes proteinuria, hypoalbuminemia, hyperlipidemia, lipiduria, edmas and penetrations into body cavities. This disease is associated with many complications. In this Bachelor thesis were taken into account such issues as health problems of the patient, disease pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment standards, and dietary recommendations. There was also made a reference to nurture the theory of Dorothy Orem. While creating this BA thesis has been used a method for the analysis of the current scientific literature.The aim of the Bachelor Thesis was to create a model of care for patients with nephrotic syndrome, based on the theory of nursing by D. Orem. Through the analysis of the literature a number of nursing diagnoses has been created and was proposed a plan for dealing with patients suffering from nephrosis, which main task is to eliminate or decrease the patient's self-care deficit.

Zespół nerczycowy to schorzenie nerek charakteryzujące się występowaniem typowych objawów klinicznych. Należą do nich białkomocz, hipoalbuminemia, hiperlipidemia, lipiduria, obrzęki i przesięki do jam ciała. Choroba ta wiąże się z licznymi powikłaniami. W pracy uwzględnione zostały takie zagadnienia jak problemy zdrowotne pacjenta, patogeneza schorzenia, standardy diagnostyki i leczenia oraz zalecenia dietetyczne. Odniesiono się również do teorii pielęgnowania Dorothy Orem. Tworząc pracę wykorzystano metodę analizy aktualnej literatury naukowej. Celem pracy było stworzenie modelu opieki nad pacjentem z zespołem nerczycowym, opartego na teorii pielęgnowania według D. Orem. Dokonując analizy piśmiennictwa sformułowano szereg diagnoz pielęgniarskich i zaproponowano plan postępowania z chorym cierpiącym na nerczycę, którego głównym zadaniem jest wyeliminowanie lub zmniejszenie stopnia deficytu samoopieki pacjenta.
