The impact of multinational corporations on child labour in Asian countries

The purpose of this work was to determine the impact of multinational corporations on the use of children to work in Asian countries. The problem of slave work both children and adults is widespread all over the world. However, the awareness of the public is still too small to be able to abolish this form of slavery. The work consists of four chapters. The first focused on the discussion of the most important definitions, rules of the Chinese labor law, which guarantees the Convention on the rights of the child and the role of non-governmental organizations and States. The second chapter focuses on corporate social responsibility. The third takes root cause analysis and effects of the slave labor of children and types of work. Also presents the role of multinational corporations. The final chapter discusses the methods of prevention of the slave labor of children. In the 21st century, still it is hard to believe that children are treated in such a beastly way. Often in an indirect and unconscious way, each of us contributes to the employment of children. But no one can be exempt from respect for human rights, and in particular the rights of children.

Celem niniejszej pracy było określenie wpływu międzynarodowych korporacji na wykorzystywanie dzieci do pracy w krajach azjatyckich. Problem niewolniczej pracy zarówno dzieci jak i dorosłych jest powszechny na całym świecie. Jednak świadomość społeczeństwa jest wciąż zbyt mała aby możliwe było zniesienie tej formy niewolnictwa. Praca składa się z czterech rozdziałów. Pierwszy skupiony jest na omówieniu najważniejszych definicji, przepisów chińskiego prawa pracy, praw jakie gwarantuje Konwencja o Prawach Dziecka oraz roli organizacji pozarządowych i państw. Drugi rozdział skupiony jest na społecznej odpowiedzialności biznesu. Trzeci podejmuje analizę przyczyn i skutków niewolniczej pracy dzieci oraz rodzaje wykonywanych prac. Przedstawia także rolę międzynarodowych korporacji. Ostatni rozdział omawia metody przeciwdziałania niewolniczej pracy dzieci. W XXI wieku wciąż ciężko jest uwierzyć, że dzieci są traktowane w tak nieludzki sposób. Często w pośredni i nieświadomy sposób, każdy z nas przyczynia się do zatrudniania dzieci. Nikt jednak nie może być zwolniony z przestrzegania praw człowieka, a w szczególności praw dotyczących dzieci.
