Nowatorskie przedstawienie historii meksykańskiej pary cesarskiej Maksymiliana i Karloty w powieści Fernando del Paso Noticias del Imperio.

W niniejszej pracy zajmuję się powieścią meksykańskiego pisarza, Fernando del Paso, zatytułowaną Noticias del Imperio, która opowiada o francuskiej interwencji w Meksyku i powstaniu Drugiego Cesarstwa Meksyku pod rządami Maksymiliana Habsburga i jego żony Karloty. Głównym tematem pracy jest nowatorski sposób prezentacji wydarzeń historycznych. Po zaklasyfikowaniu powieści jako reprezentatywnej dla nowej powieści historycznej, pierwszy rozdział poświęcono rozważaniom teoretycznym odnośnie powieści tego rodzaju. Omówiono, między innymi, różnice pomiędzy tradycyjną powieścią historyczną a nową powieścią historyczną. W kolejnym rozdziale przedstawiono ciąg wydarzeń historycznych związanych z powstaniem Drugiego Cesarstwa Meksykańskiego. Trzeci rozdział w największym stopniu koncentruje się na samej powieści. Omawia się strukturę tekstu i jej znaczenie dla interpretacji, zastosowane formy narracyjne oraz użycie parodii, ironii i wprowadzenie elementów karnawału. Wielość głosów i świadectw tworzy mozaikę obrazów z okresu Drugiego Cesarstwa Meksyku, w którym możemy również dostrzec opinię autora na temat historii w ogóle.

The current paper is dedicated to the novel Noticial del Imperio of a mexican writer, Fernando del Paso. The novel relates the French intervention in Mexico and the creation of Second Mexican Empire led by Maximilian Habsburg and his wife, Charlotte of Belgium. The main subject is the innovative way of the presentation of historical events. After the novel being classified as the new historical novel, the first chapter was dedicated to the theoretical considerations about the genre in question. The differences between the traditional historical novel and the new historical novel were presented. In the next chapter, the course of historical events concerning the creation of Second Mexican Empire was presented. The third chapter strongly concentrates on the novel itself. Its structure, narrative forms and the use of parody and irony were commented. The multitude of voices and testimonies creates the mosaic of images from Second Mexican Empire which transmits the autor’s vision of the history in general.

El trabajo presente se concentra en la novela del escritor mexicano Fernando del Paso titulada Noticias del Imperio. La novela narra sobre la intervención francesa en México y la instalación del Segundo Imperio Mexicano gobernado por Maximiliano de Habsburgo y su mujer, Carlota de Bélgica. El tema central es lo innovador e inusual en la presentación de los hechos históricos en la novela. Al identificarla como una representante del género de la nueva novela histórica, el primer capítulo se dedicó a las consideraciones teóricas acerca de ese subgénero literario. Se comentaron las diferencias entre la novela histórica tradicional y la nueva novela histórica, entre otros. En el capítulo siguiente se presentó el transcurso de los acontecimientos históricos relacionados con la instalación del Segundo Imperio Mexicano, refiriéndose a las fuentes históricas oficiales. El tercer capítulo de la redacción es el que más se concentra en la novela misma. Se pone relieve en la estructura de la novela y su importancia para la interpretación del texto, las formas narrativas y el empleo de la parodia, ironía y los elementos carnavalescos. La multitud de voces y testimonios crea el mosaico de imágenes del Segundo Imperio Mexicano que transmite la visión del autor de la historia misma.
