Praca ta jest kompendium wiedzy na temat Ǧibrāna H̱alīla Ǧibrāna. Opisuje jego życie, najważniejsze dzieła oraz główne inspiracje autora. Autorka pracy podejmuje wyzwanie określenia tożsamości Ǧibrāna H̱alīla Ǧibrāna na podstawie jego wybranych dzieł. W tej pracy znajdziemy również kompleksową analizę dzieł Ǧibrāna, takich jak: Dumūʿa wa-Ibtasāma (Łzy i Uśmiech), An-Nabī (Prorok), Al-Maǧnūn (Szaleniec), Yasūʿa Ibn al-Insān (Jezus Syn Człowieczy) oraz Al-ʾĀǧaniḥāt al-Mutakassirā (Połamane Skrzydła). Praca ta zwiera również tłumaczenie wybranych wierszy i opowiadań ze zbioru Dumūʿa wa-Ibtasāma (Łzy i Uśmiech).

This work is a compendium of information about Lebanese writer and poet Ǧibrān Halil Ǧibrān. It contains information about his life, the most important works and the main inspirations of the author. The author of the work takes up the challenge to determine the identity of Ǧibrān Halil Ǧibrān on the basis of his selected works. In this thesis we can also find a comprehensive analysis of the works of Ǧibrān such as: Dumū'a wa-Ibtasāma (Tears and Smile), An-Nabi (The Prophet), Al-Maǧnūn (Madman), Yasū'a Ibn al-Insan (Jesus the Son of Man) and Al- 'Āǧaniḥāt al-Mutakassirā (Broken Wings). This work contains the translation of selected poems and short stories from the collection Dumū'a wa-Ibtasāma (Tears and Smile).
