The problem of the reception of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s literary works in Poland

Praca dotyczy problemu recepcji twórczości literackiej Piera Paola Pasoliniego w Polsce. Prezentuje skomplikowaną sytuację odbioru dzieł tego twórcy, który w Polsce bardziej znany jest jako reżyser filmowy. Praca zawiera informacje dotyczące dostępnych tłumaczeń dzieł Pasoliniego, artykułów i recenzji, a także wierszy napisanych na jego cześć oraz innych materiałów związanych z odbiorem działalności pisarskiej autora w Polsce. Oprócz aktualizacji stanu badań na temat pisarza - reżysera, podejmuje także próbę wyjaśnienia przyczyn nieobecności jego dzieł literackich w dyskursie publicznym i na rynku wydawniczym.

The thesis issues the problem of the reception of Pier Paolo Pasolini's literary works in Poland. It presents the complicated situation of his writing's recognition, considering the fact that in Poland he is more widely known as a movie director. The thesis contains informations about available translations of his literary pieces, articles and reviews, as well as poems written in honor of the author and other materials related to the reception of Pasolini's literary activity. Besides of updating the state of research it also consists of an attempt to explain the reasons why this author's texts are absent in the common discourse and the publishing market.
