Modeling in Poland in 1955 - 1970 In the light of the "Modelarz" magazine.

Praca ta dotyczy problematyki modelarstwa w Polsce w latach 1955 – 1970. Ma ona na celu przybliżenie czytelnikowi dziejów modelarstwa polskiego w okresie jego intensywnego rozwoju w oparciu o źródło jakim jest czasopismo "Modelarz" oraz publikacje o tematyce modelarskiej.Problemami badawczymi poruszonymi w pracy są kwestie: roli modelarstwa w społeczeństwie, animacji ruchu modelarskiego, walorów wychowawczych w "Modelarzu", sposobów popularyzacji modelarstwa, charakterystyki modelarzy i ich pracy oraz problemów z jakimi się zmagali.Modelarstwo okazuje się aktywnością mająca politechnizować młodzież poprzez zainteresowanie jej techniką. Organizacje i instytucje wspierające rozwój modelarstwa, popularyzują je na rozmaite sposoby i pragną, aby stało się ono ważnym elementem edukacji dzieci i młodzieży. Analiza treści "Modelarza" pozwala na scharakteryzowanie grupy społecznej jaką są modelarze, poznanie ich warunków pracy oraz problemów z niedostępnością niezbędnych do pracy materiałów.

This thesis is concerned with modeling in Poland in the years 1955 - 1970. Thesis illustrates the situation of modeling in Poland in the period of its intensive development, based on the source of the magazine "Modelarz" and publications on modeling.Research problems raised in thesis are issues such as the role of modeling in society, the modeling movement, the educational values of modeling, the ways of popularizing modeling, the characteristics of the modelers and their work, and the problems they have encountered.Modeling proves to be an activity that aims to technologize young people through their interest in technology. Organizations and institutions that support the development of modeling, popularize it in a variety of ways, and want it to become an important element in the education of children and adolescents. Analysis of the content of the "Modelarz" allows to characterize the social group of modelers, to know their working conditions and problems with the unavailability of materials necessary for work.
