Stereotype of the Pole based on internet memes

Praca licencjacka przedstawia stereotyp Polaka na podstawie memów internetowych. Zostały w niej zanalizowane i zinterpretowane najpopularniejsze fanpage’e na Facebooku oraz memy na nich zamieszczane. Najważniejsze zagadnienia teoretyczne wymieniane w niniejszej pracy to: stereotyp, mem oraz media społecznościowe. Analizie zostały poddane memy z serii Nosacze Polskości. Szczegółowo przedstawiono sylwetkę stereotypowego Polaka pokazywanego w memach z tego cyklu. Wnioskiem z pracy jest to, że kreowani Polacy pochodzą z biedniejszych i mniej wykształconych grup społecznych. Jest to negatywny stereotyp tych społeczności, a także są oni ofiarami złośliwości i kpiny ze strony internautów.

Thesis presents the stereotype of a Pole based on internet memes. In this thesis have been analyzed and interpreted the most popular fan pages on a Facebook and memes which were posted on them. The most important theoretical issues contained in this thesis are: stereotype, mem and social media. Series memes of Nosacze Polskości have been analyzed. Profile of Pole was presented in detail on memes in this series. Conclusion of this thesis is: Pole who are presented in memes are from poorer and less educated social groups. This is negative stereotype of this community and they are also victim of malice and mockery from the internet users.
