Fandom and the Mainstream – Fan Creation in the Popular Culture

The thesis investigates the way fan content creators are able to gain employment in the production of their favorite series through posting fan art online. It can be achieved in two ways; either by self-employment or through collaboration with other companies. It also contains an introduction to the history of fanworks, as well as the process and development of the fan creators' relationship with the authors of the source material. The author also provides examples of careers of specific fandom creators.

Praca pokazuje jak dzięki twórczości fanowskiej udostępnianej w Internecie, amatorscy autorzy i artyści są w stanie zyskać pracę przy ulubionych seriach. Osiągane jest to na dwa sposoby: poprzez samozatrudnienie bądź współpracę z firmami. Przybliżono także historię powstawania prac fanowskich oraz rozwój kontaktu z autorami tekstów głównych. Podano również przykłady karier konkretnych twórców fandomowych.
