The efficacy of extracorporeal shock wave therapy in the treatment of calcaneal spur.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of treating pain with a shockwave caused by the heel spur.The presentation of the paper describes a literature review on the development of physiotherapy in the treatment of heel spur. The chin feet are also described in relation to the formation of the heel spur. The introduction also includes the methods of treating the heel spur and alleviating the pain caused by the aforementioned ailment. The principle of the shock wave in its wide application was described in detail, along with its use for the treatment of the heel spur.In the next stage, the aim of the study was determined, which was to assess the effectiveness of the treatment of the heel spur with extracorporeal shock wave of the studied group of patients. Research questions were also described that were used in the study, which were included in the questionnaire filled in by patients in 3 periods: before the start of treatment, after 5 treatments and 10 days after the end of treatment.The next chapter describes in detail the materials and research methods that were used in the work. This chapter indicates the place where the tests are to be performed, i.e. the Euromedyk rehabilitation clinic in Opole and the device used for the therapy (BTL-5110). The organization and course of the study itself as well as the characteristics of the study group were also described in detail.Chapter 4 describes in detail the results obtained during the research, collected in questionnaires completed by patients. The results are presented in several stages, starting from general information through the assessment of complaints on two VAS and Laitinen scales. Assessment of symptoms in the above-mentioned The scales were performed in 3 periods: before treatment, after 5 treatments and 10 days after the end of treatment.The last chapter of the work presents a discussion and conclusions gathered on the basis of the conducted questionnaire research.

Celem niniejszej pracy było zbadanie efektywności leczenia bólu falą uderzeniową wywołanego ostrogą piętową.We występie pracy opisano przegląd literaturowy w zakresie rozwoju fizjoterapii w zakresie leczenia ostrogi piętowej. Opisano również bodowe stopy w odniesieniu do powstawania ostrogi piętowej. We wstępie ujęto również znane w dzisiejszej dobie metody leczenia ostrogi piętowej oraz łagodzenia bólu wywołanego ww. dolegliwością. Szczegółowo opisano zasadę działania fali uderzeniowej w szerokim jej zastosowaniu wraz z zastosowaniem do leczenia ostrogi piętowej.W następnym etapie określono cel pracy, którym jest ocena skuteczności leczenia ostrogi piętowej przy pomocy pozaustrojowej fali uderzeniowej badanej grupy pacjentów. Opisano również pytania badawcze jakie zastosowano w pracy, które zostały zawarte w kwestionariuszu wypełnianym przez pacjentów w 3 czasookresach: przed rozpoczęciem leczenia, po 5 zabiegach oraz po 10 dniach od zakończenia leczenia. W kolejnym rozdziale opisano szczegółowo materiały i metody badawcze jakie zostały zastosowane w pracy. W niniejszym rozdziale wskazano miejsce wykonywania badań tj.: przychodnia rehabilitacyjna Euromedyk w Opolu na oraz urządzenie za pomocą którego prowadzono terapię (BTL-5110). Opisano również szczegółowo organizację i przebieg samego badania jak również charakterystykę badanej grupy.W 4 rozdziale pracy opisano szczegółowo wyniki uzyskane podczas badań zebrane w kwestionariuszach, które wypełniali pacjenci. Wyniki przedstawiono w kilku etapach rozpoczynając od informacji ogólnych przez ocenę dolegliwości w 2 skalach VAS i Laitinena. Ocena dolegliwości w ww. skalach została przeprowadzona w 3 czasookresach: przed rozpoczęciem leczenia, po 5 zabiegach oraz po 10 dniach od zakończenia leczenia. W ostatnim rozdziale pracy przedstawiono dyskusję oraz wnioski zebrane na podstawie przeprowadzonych badan kwestionariuszowych.
