Profession of public trust on the example of physiotherapist

This thesis is devoted to the notions of a public trust profession and a professional self-government. The main aim of the dissertation is to check whether the profession of a physiotherapist is a public trust profession. Additionally, the tasks facing the self-government of physiotherapists in the light of the Act of 25 September 2015 on the profession of a physiotherapist are discussed. The first chapter focuses on the analysis of the following concepts: free profession, regulated profession and profession of public trust. The second chapter described the issues concerning the professional self-government and its tasks. The aim of the third chapter was to characterize the profession of a physiotherapist. Additionally, the features of public trust are described with reference to the profession of a physiotherapist. The next chapter contains the description of the tasks of particular bodies of physiotherapists' self-government. It also presents the benefits for physiotherapists and patients after the Act on Physiotherapy Profession has come into force. The last chapter is an analysis of the interview questionnaire conducted with Filip Windak, the coordinator of the National Council of Physiotherapists in Małopolskie Province.

Niniejsza praca magisterska poświęcona jest pojęciom zawodu zaufania publicznego i samorządu zawodowego. Głównym celem rozprawy jest sprawdzenie, czy zawód fizjoterapeuty jest zawodem zaufania publicznego. Dodatkowo omówione zostały zadania stojące przed samorządem fizjoterapeutów w świetle ustawy z dnia 25 września 2015 r. o zawodzie fizjoterapeuty. W pierwszym rozdziale skupiono się na analizie następujących pojęć: wolny zawód, zawód regulowany oraz zawód zaufania publicznego. W rozdziale drugim opisano zagadnienia dotyczące samorządu zawodowego i jego zadań. Celem trzeciego rozdziału było scharakteryzowanie zawodu fizjoterapeuty. Dodatkowo opisano cechy zawodu zaufania publicznego w odniesieniu do zawodu fizjoterapeuty. Kolejny rozdział zawiera opis zadań poszczególnych organów samorządu fizjoterapeutów. Przedstawiono również korzyści dla fizjoterapeutów i pacjentów po wejściu w życie ustawy o zawodzie fizjoterapeuty. Ostatni rozdział to analiza kwestionariusza wywiadu przeprowadzonego z Filipem Windakiem, koordynatorem Krajowej Rady Fizjoterapeutów w województwie małopolskim.
