Praca “Zabawa ze stereotypami narodowymi w filmach Ocho apellidos vascos i Ocho apellidos catalanes” zajmuje się problematyką stereotypów w wielokulturowej Hiszpanii. Jej głównym celem jest ukazanie jak komedia romantyczna jest w stanie walczyć z zakorzenionymi w społeczeństwie uprzedzeniami. Porusza kwestie teoretyczne związane z wyżej wymienionym zagadnieniem. Su objetivo es mostrar cómo la comedia romántica es capaz de luchar contra los prejuicios arraigados en la sociedad. El trabajo aborda cuestiones teóricas relacionadas con el tema. Analiza el carácter complejo de los estereotipos y muestra dificultad de formular una definición clara del concepto. También, expone el problema de la multiculturalidad de España que está estrechamente relacionada con el funcionamiento de los estereotipos en la sociedad. El objeto de estudio constituyen dos películas dirigidas por Emilio Martínez-Lázaro 'Ocho apellidos vascos' y 'Ocho apellidos catalanes', para su descripción se utiliza el método propuesto por Seweryn Kuśmierczyk. El análisis consiste en describir determinados elementos de la película p. ej. el lugar, el tiempo, la trama o los personajes centrándose en su carácter estereotipado.

Its main objective is to show how romantic comedy is able to fight against prejudices rooted in society. It raises theoretical issues related to this problem. It discusses its complex characteristics and presents the problem of giving this concept a clear definition. It also outlines the problem of Spanish multiculturalism, which apparently translates into the functioning of stereotypes in society. The subject of the study are two films directed by Emilio Martínez-Lázaro, 'Ocho apellidos vascos' and 'Ocho apellidos catalanes', which are discussed using the method proposed by Seweryn Kuśmierczyk. The analysis consists in describing individual elements of the film, e.g. the place, time, plot or characters, focusing on their stereotypical character.
