Curatorial dreams at work : on constructing alternative Ideas of community

Artykuł opisuje jednodniową interwencję kuratorską w Muzeum Etnograficznym w Krakowie, przeprowadzoną w ramach 27. Festiwalu Kultury Żydowskiej. Wykorzystując m.in. koncepcję humanistyki prefiguratywnej Ewy Domańskiej, autorka pokazuje, w jaki sposób krytyczne działania w przestrzeni muzealnej mogą wpływać na zmianę myślenia o wspólnocie i dziedzictwie narodowym. Podaje także przykłady innych ekspozycji wpisujących się w nurt muzealnictwa krytycznego.

The article describes the one-day long curatorial intervention in The Etnographic Museum of Cracow, which took place during the 27th Jewish Culture Festival. Using the Ewa Domanska's concept of prefigurative humanities, it shows how critical actions in museum may change the common belief about the community and national heritage. It also gives examples of other exhibitions belonging to the trend of critical museology.
