Violence in an unrealistic language in Memoirs of a Porcupine by Alain Mabanckou and Baśń o wężowym sercu by Radek Rak

Praca ta stanowi porównawczą analizę Zwierzeń jeżozwierza Alaina Mabanckou oraz Baśni o wężowym sercu Radka Raka - współczesnych powieści utrzymanych w konwencji nierealistycznej, poruszających temat pańszczyzny oraz niewolnictwa. Interpretacji zostają poddane występujące w utworach strategie narracyjne, elementy magiczne oraz tropy intertekstualne. Celem niniejszego licencjatu jest poszerzenie polskich badań nad analizowanymi tekstami oraz zbadanie, w jaki sposób przemoc, stojąca u podstaw opresyjnych systemów, widoczna jest w języku utworów.

This work is a comparative analysis of Baśń o wężowym sercu by Radek Rak and Alain Mabanckou's Memoirs of a Porcupine - contemporary novels kept in an unrealistic convention, dealing with the subject of serfdom and slavery. The interpretation focuses on the narrative strategies, magical elements and intertextual tropes which are present in both works. The purpose of this bachelor's degree is to expand Polish research on the analyzed texts and to examine how the violence, which is the foundation of oppressive systems, is visible in the language of the works.
