Kobieta, która uczyła Modrzejewską : Jo Tucholska

Jo Tucholska was the first American friend of Helena Modjeska. Their friend- ship lasted until the death of the actress, and remained consistently strong throughout the years. It was largely owing to Jo that Modjeska was brought to the American stage. However, the story of Tucholska has not been researched so far. This article sums up what is available from American press, official doc- uments, as well as relevant materials collected by an independent researcher and journalist Maureen Mroczek Morris.
