Wherever I look, I see / poetry alive and enchanted' : expression of feminity, figure of subordination: on Young Poland's woman-poetry and woman-literature characters
The article is an analysis of the way of creation woman-poetry and woman-literature characters in the Young Poland's literature. The authoress uses methods of the feminist criticism (works of S.M. Gilbert and S. Gubar, H. Cixous, C. Paglia) to show differences between an autonomic identity of the woman-poetry and an identity of the fake, artificial woman-literature who is subordinate to a man (a poet, a creator). These models of the feminity are based on the analysis of texts written by famous Polish modernists (Jan Kasprowicz, Stanisław Przybyszewski, Stanisław Wyspiański) and also writers omitted in the contemporary reception of the Young Poland period (e.g. Gustaw Daniłowski, Stefan Krzywoszewski). In the conclusion the authoress tries to explain the lack of the woman-poetry characters in texts written by women who use with high frequency the model of woman-poetess.
